Despite the flurries yesterday, some plants in the backyard have started to bloom. With any luck we’ll have warmer temperatures start to stick around soon.

After weeks of fluctuating temperatures, it’s finally starting to feel like summer is arriving in Toronto. Spent a fantastic afternoon in the backyard reading, playing games, and relaxing.

Our friend’s four-year-old son was supposed to have a birthday party yesterday. Surprising him with a (very loud) socially-distanced birthday parade was a highlight of the last four weeks.

Over a year ago, I decided to close my Facebook and Twitter accounts. It’s done wonders for my mental health. Browsing a heavily curated Instagram feed still feels mostly positive (concerns about Facebook as a company notwithstanding), but I don’t really contribute anymore.
